What is tapping?

No, not tap dancing – though that is fun too.

The tapping I’m talking about is also called EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. The premise of tapping centers around the idea that we can tap on acupressure points on our body to optimize our emotional health. These are the same points or energy meridians that are the foundation for acupuncture which has been used to treat people for over 5,000 years.

But with EFT, we do not use needles. Only the gentle tapping of our fingers on key points on our upper body.

Say, for instance, that you have a pain in your body that has been plaguing you for some time. Or you have negative emotions surrounding something that happened to you recently or even long ago. Or you have food cravings that are keeping you from reaching your goal weight.

Tapping on these issues using the techniques outlined in the below link and video should help you start to eliminate these emotional blocks.

It may sound a little “woo-woo” but if you are intrigued or even skeptical, I encourage you to at least try it. Below is a good “primer” on tapping or EFT, as well as a video on how to tap correctly.
